Discover the Magical World of Söptei Wines - Where Fruit Ripeness and Heart Guide Winemaking

Entering the special world of Söptei wines, you will not only experience fine flavors but also witness the highest level of passion and attention to winemaking. At Zsolt Söptei Winery, every wine is made exclusively from ripe fruits, with great care and love, far beyond traditional winemaking methods.

Full-bodied Wines, Deep Flavors

Söptei wines are not your typical reductive wines, which are light, soft, and acidic. Instead, Zsolt's wines are full-bodied, sometimes reminiscent of the characteristics of barrel-aged wines, impressing even expert wine enthusiasts. The secret lies in the strictly controlled minimized sulfur use, which, by the end of the winemaking process, is reduced to 40% of the maximum allowable sulfur content. The harvesting of grapes at their ripe state and the proper cellaring ensure that the wines offer the same quality even four to five years later, as if you just opened the bottle.

The Wine Ages and Flavors Mature

Söptei wines can continue to age in the bottle, allowing the terroir flavors to unfold more richly. This process provides a special experience for wine lovers, as new layers of flavor emerge while following the wine's evolution. This phenomenon is not always evident in reductive wines, but at Söptei Winery, it is a natural part of the wines' life.

International Recognition: The Seal of Quality

Our commitment to quality is recognized internationally: in 2020, we won a gold medal, and in 2021, three of our submitted wines brought home one gold and two silver medals from the Bordeaux Challenge International du Vin wine competition. These results demonstrate that Söptei wines hold their own on the international stage.
